First Entry Hurry Murray! Hurray Shirley!

November 1, 2013

Rrrriiinnngg!  The alarm clock sounds and awakens the slumbering children from their warm, cozy beds.   The sun is rising in the East as Murray and Shirley hop out of bed, excited as can be, because today is a special day.  Today is the first day of Kindergarten for Murray and Shirley.

Hurry Murray!  Hurry Shirley!

Hurry, hurry, don’t be late!  Today is a special day and school begins promptly at eight.

Brrruuussshhh! Toothpaste on toothbrush; whirling on pearly whites .  Time to get ready for a terrific day.  Hairbrushing and combing; the children dress quickly.  Jacket and sweater, in hand, the children decend down the staircase to partake in a hot morning breakfast of oatmeal and toast.

Hurry Murray!  Hurry Shirley!

Hurry, hurry, don’t be late!  Here we go.  It is time to go.  Backpack, check; lunch tote; check.  Sharpened new pencils, glue sticks, and crayons are all in tow.  Out the door.  Here we go!

Hurry Murray!  Hurry Shirley!

Hand in hand, we skip on down the lane .  We scurry on our way to a special day.  Time to read.  Time to write.  Time to learn and grow and make new friends.
